It is extremely probable that this photo was taken at the time of the arrival of a dignitary of IIIème Reich which could be Erwin Rommel, the new investigator of the places after his premature withdrawal of the face of North Africa.

 

One can note on this photograph the various means of ventilation of the bunker, of the hood for the powder aprés a shooting, with the power generating unit (surely citröen).

the horn eye was often used to dissimulate the bunkers, that went from the natural aspect (rock, foliages) to an aspect more sophisticated like here the use of an Horn-eye.
